New rule 70

Former rule 55, with no substantive changes.

Court of Appeal minutes
New rule 71

Additions to required minutes: Date of submission, if other than oral argument. (71(b)(5).) Any order dismissing appeal for lack of jurisdiction; deletes former exception for cases where lack of jurisdiction is “patent and uncontested.” (71(b)(7).)

Deletion from required minutes: Orders correcting clerical errors in published opinions (former 55(c)(6).)

Former rules 75 and 76. No substantive changes.

Reviewing court clerk/administrator
Rule 76.1

No substantive changes.

Appointment of appellate counsel
Rule 76.5

Change in description of scope of rule: Applies to all cases where indigents have right to appointed counsel. (76.5(a)(1).)

Change in description of required appointed counsel list(s), to conform to practice. (76.5(b)(2).)

Deletion of requirement court notify administrator of attorney’s performance, to conform to practice. (76.5(e)(2).)

Qualifications of counsel in death penalty cases
Rule 76.6

No substantive changes. Subdivision (c)(3) on duties of associate counsel clarified.
