Christy Peterson joined ADI in May 2025. A Santa Barbara native, she holds a BA from the University of Puget Sound, a JD from the University of Wisconsin, and a master’s in positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. After law school, she clerked for the Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court (a brilliant and bold trailblazer) before returning to California to work as a litigator (not her favorite) and later represent foster youth at the San Diego Volunteer Legal Program (deeply meaningful). In 2007, she transitioned to working as a panel attorney with ADI and spent eighteen years happily immersed in appellate advocacy (also deeply meaningful). Christy enjoys live music, nature, hanging out with her husband and three daughters, and dreaming up creative ways to blend justice, advocacy, and well-being.
