Pauline Villanueva is a California native, having grown up in northern California before moving to San Diego. She is a graduate of UC San Diego and Santa Clara University School of Law. She has (mostly) lived in San Diego since graduating. Pauline previously worked as a trial attorney at the Fresno County and Ventura County Public Defender’s Offices before going into appellate work. She was a panel attorney for ADI for six years before joining as a staff attorney in 2022.
Pauline is actively involved in the local legal community as the president-elect of Filipino-American Lawyers of San Diego and a member of the San Diego County Bar Association. In her spare time, Pauline enjoys reading, working out, cooking, and spending time with her cats.
